New minister of justice introduced to staff

Chisinau, 24 June /MOLDPRES/- New Minister of Justice Olesea Stamate sworn in office today, and then was introduced to the ministerial staff.
Prime Minister Maia Sandu said that Moldovans want an independent justice and this will be the challenge the new ministerial team has to face.
"There have been written strategies which have not been achieved, now political will exists and we have to move quickly because people's expectations are great. Restoring the confidence of citizens depends on the recovery of confidence in justice,” the premier said.
The new official said that the sector of work is specific and complex, and relies on the ministerial team’s support to implement the reforms.
Olesea Stamate took over the portfolio of Justice two weeks after the appointment of Stanislav Pavlovschi, who resigned this weekend. He announced "during work on the Justice Action Plan, he has identified several personal incompatibilities which according to the Moldovan Constitution make his activity impossible as a member of the government."
Olesea Stamate has law degree and has worked in several programs as an expert in recent years.
