Moldovan-Russian inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation resumes work

Chisinau, 24 June /MOLDPRES/ - The development of the commercial and economic relations between Moldova and Russia was discussed by the members of the Moldovan-Russian inter-governmental commission in Chisinau. The Russian delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak.
The special representative of the Russian president for the development of the commercial and economic cooperation relations with Moldova today had a meeting with President Igor Dodon. At the end of the meeting, the two officials held a news conference.
During the meeting, the head of state asked the Russian side to extend the export facilities and resume the negotiations for setting the gas tariffs. Dodon also proposed to extend the list of economic agents which can export to Russia.
The Moscow official congratulated the new government, noting that Russia was willing to remove all obstacles, including the economic ones, in the relations with Moldova.
Today evening, Dmitry Kozak will have a meeting with Prime Minister Maia Sandu and the cabinet members.
The Moldovan-Russian inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation last time held a meeting in October 2016. Today, the government changed the commission’s composition and appointed Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Vasilii Sova as co-chairman of the commission.
