New head of State Protection, Guard Service appointed today

Chisinau, 25 June /MOLDPRES/- Iaroslav Martin was appointed as head of the State Protection and Guard Service (SPPS).The decree on his appointment was signed today by President Igor Dodon.

Also, the president introduced the new head to the staff.

"I congratulated him, wishing success in the work he will be doing from today. However, I thanked SPPS officers for their professionalism, courage and dedication in securing the highest level of protection for officials in the country and foreigners. I am convinced that the State Protection and Guard Service will become a modern, professional institution, and the compliance with the legislation will be the basis for activity ", he said.

Dodon assured the head and staff of SPPS that he will provide all necessary support for successful implementation of specific tasks and ensuring a high level of security measures.

Iaroslav Martin has over 20 years experience in law enforcement bodies, and holds the rank of Colonel.
