Moldovan parliament appoints to office deputy director of Intelligence and Security Service

Chisinau, 25 June /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today appointed the former presidential adviser, Artur Gumeniuc, as deputy director of the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS) with the votes of 55 lawmakers.
Artur Gumeniuc was put forward for this position by the new SIS head, Alexandr Esaulenco.
Artur Gumeniuc has held more important posts within SIS, among which the one of head of the security of the Chisinau municipality, member of the SIS College. On the last period, Gumeniuc has worked as presidential adviser in the defence and national security sector, secretary of the Supreme Security Council.
