Meteorologists prolong yellow code of heat in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 June /MOLDPRES/ – The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has extended the Yellow Code of heat by the end of 27 June.
According to meteorologists, in this interval, on extended areas, the maximum air temperature will reach values of 33ºC – 34ºC. At night, the thermometers are to indicate 21ºC.
Until the current weekend, there are possible rains with electric discharge throughout Moldova. On Friday, 28 June, the meteorologists forecast weather cooling down to 25ºC – 27ºC, but the heat is to return the upcoming week.
With the issue of the Yellow Code of heat, authorities have installed tents all over Moldova where persons affected by heat can get the necessary care. Also, physicians caution especially elderly, pregnant women, cardiovascular, respiratory, and allergic patients to be cautious and avoid getting into sun.
When it is the Yellow Code, the weather conditions are potentially dangerous, the forecast meteorological phenomena (aversion, electric discharge, wind intensification, high or low temperatures, risk of flow increases and levels in rivers and rivulets, etc.) are common for Moldova, but temporarily can become dangerous for certain socio – economic activities.
