Moldovan pupils win silver, bronze medals at Balkan olympiad in maths

Chisinau, 27 June /MOLDPRES/ – The pupils from Moldova have won a silver medal and three bronze medals at the Balkan Youth Olympics in Mathematics. The competition took place on 20 – 25 June 2019 in Agros, Cyprus.
According to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, the silver medal was awarded to Botezat Catalin from Orizont, and the bronze medals the pupils – Izbas Ana – Maria from lyceum Gheorghe Asachi, Vlas Arsenie, lyceum Orizont, all from Chisinau municipality, and Tertilov Vadim, humanitarian – mathematical secondary school in Tiraspol.
The Moldovan team was represented by six pupils and two teachers.
The Olympics was attended by 97 pupils from 16 states.
