Moldovan speaker to deliver speech at plenary meeting in Russia

Chisinau, 27 June /MOLDPRES/- On a working visit to the Russian Federation, Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii laid flowers to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow near the Kremlin wall, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

"Millions of people sacrificed themselves for victory in the World War II. We will keep their memory forever, " Zinaida Greceanii said.

The official today is going to deliver a speech at the plenary session of the State Duma. Also, Greceanii has scheduled meetings with Valentina Matvienko, head of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Veaceslav Volodin – head of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

The speaker pays a working visit to Russia on 26-27 June, following an invitation of the head of the State Duma. The delegation is made up of deputy speakers Ion Ceban and Alexandru Slusari, as well as secretary of the commission on national security, defense and public order, MP Oazu Nantoi.
