Moldovan parliament speaker meets Russian PM

Chisinau, 27 June /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grecianii today had a meeting with Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The parliament speaker stressed that, after the creation of the parliamentary majority and establishment of the government, Moldova was promoting a balanced relation and spoke out for a pragmatic cooperation in the country’s interest. Grecianii noted that the parliamentary majority had a strong support on behalf of the society and this would boost the re-establishment of the strategic partnership with Russia on all dimensions of cooperation.
The sides discussed the need to re-launch the Moldovan-Russian relations on all dimensions. The officials pointed out the problems on the bilateral agenda, due to be solved on the next period.
The Russian PM expressed openness for the settlement of the problems accumulated and wished the Moldovan authorities success in achieving the aspirations announced.
Attending the meeting was the Russian president’s special representative for the development of the commercial and economic relations with Moldova, Dmitry Kozak. The Moldovan delegation is made up of the deputy parliament speakers Ion Ceban and Alexandru Slusari, as well as the secretary of the parliament’s commission for national security, defence and public order, Oazu Nantoi.
