Moldovan deputy premier for reintegration meets Romania's ambassador

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Vasilii Sova today had a meeting with Ambassador of Romania to Moldova Daniel Ionita, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The officials discussed in detail a wide range of issues, including economic and commercial aspects as to the dimension of the Transnistrian settlement. 

The dialogue was also focused on certain subjects concerning the bilateral relations, proceeding from a working visit to Bucharest, due to be paid by Moldova’s PM next week. 

Specifically, Vasilii Sova informed about Chisinau’s positions on the degree of implementation of the agreements from the so-called Berlin+ package. Sova noted that priority remained the identification of solutions to current problems in the sector of telecommunications and on other important topics, especially as regards the protection the human rights and fundamental freedoms, ensuring a good work of the Latin-script schools, implementation of projects on the promotion of confidence-building measures.    

The sides exchanged opinions on the consultations in the 3+2 format, in the context of a visit to Moldova by representatives of mediators and observers in the 5+2 format of negotiations, due in next July.  

The deputy prime minister for reintegration thanked the Romanian state for the consistent position in backing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova within its internationally recognized borders.   

The officials agreed on holding consultations openly and within a mutually advantageous cooperation between Moldova and Romania.
