Dniester – river level to increase on two segments till 01 July

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ – The hydrological centre of the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has announced by 01 July the increase of the water level in the river Dniester on sectors of Dubasari – Talmaza and Naslavcea – Camenca.
According to the hydrologists, in connection with the decision of the management staff of the Dubasari hydroelectric power plant (CHD) to increase the volume of water discharging from Dubasari Accumulation Lake (Dniester) to 400 m3/s on 27 June – 01 July, it is expected to increase the water level on the sector of Dubasari city – village Talmaza by 0.7 – 1.2 m.
Also, in connection with the decision of the Ukrainian Water Resources Agency to increase the volume of water discharging from the Dnestrovsk reservoir lake (Dniester) to 650 m3/s, village Naslavcea – Camenca city, it is forecast further increase of water level. According to the quoted source, the total increase, compared to the level of 25 June, will be by 1.5 m – 2 0 m.
The water will drain within the boundaries of minor bed.
