Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ – Bulgaria is not only a holiday destination, it is also an attractive area for export, which offers many advantages to Moldovan businessmen, driven by the lack of language barriers, similar mentality and a common historical past. This is one of conclusions of IIIrd session of Programme Export Morning, which has taken place in Chisinau municipality this week.
During the event, the economic agents interested in exporting to the Balkan region of Europe have learnt the success stories of Moldovan exporters who have already conquered the market of Bulgaria, as well as info about the specificity of Bulgarian consumer and potential of Bulgaria in SE Europe as importer of products from Moldova.
"For small and medium business, state support is very important and I am glad that Moldovan businessmen benefit from such support, materialised in this extremely useful programme. In turn, I want to assure you that the Embassy of Bulgaria will do its best to help you grow your business in Bulgaria. There are always friendly relations between our states, and we, Bulgarians, like the people of Moldova, that is why I invite you to Bulgaria," said Bulgarian ambassador to Moldova, Evgueni Stefanov Stoytchev.
"We consider that Export Morning is a practical and useful tool that gives concrete answers to local businessmen, encouraging them to benefit more from facilities provided by the economic exchange agreements of Moldova with other states. Bulgaria is one of the main trading partners of Moldova and, as the total volume of imports and exports declined in 2018, this event is even more justified," said General Manager of Investment Agency (AI), Rodica Verbeniuc.
The Export Morning programme involves 12 monthly sessions run at the initiative of AI, in partnership with EU project: The visibility and communication for the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (AA/DCFTA). The project aim is to provide Moldovan entrepreneurs with comprehensive support – informative and practical – so as to expand their skills and increase the level of competitiveness on foreign markets. The Bulgarian issue was preceded by sessions focusing on export potential in Romania and Poland.
The Ist round of sessions of Export Morning is dedicated to the states of EU – Moldova's major trading partner, in the context where almost 70 per cent of Moldovan export goods are oriented towards EU today. The upcoming sessions are to be about France and Germany.
