July starts with Yellow Code of heat in Moldova

Chisinau, 01 July /MOLDPRES/ – The month of July starts with great heat, and the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has announced the Yellow Code of heat for 01 – 02 July.
After a few cool days, Moldova will be in the range indicated by heat, and in the extended areas the maximum air temperature is to get 33 – 35°C.
In this context, doctors caution especially elderly, pregnant women, children and cardiovascular, respiratory diseases and allergic patients, to avoid exposure to sun, opt for open clothing, preferably from natural cloth, cover their head and take care of moisture.
According to the SHS’s information and media communication service, the rainfalls might return on Wednesday, 03 July, mainly in the northern region of Moldova.
According to data of the multiannual observations, the month of July in Moldova is the hottest month of the year. The average monthly air temperature is in territory: +19°C – +22°C in the south of Moldova. The coldest month of July for the whole instrumental period was 1979, when the average monthly air temperature ranged: +16.5°C (Briceni) – +18.9°C (Cahul). The warmest month of July was in 2012, when the average monthly temperature oscillated in territory: +23.7ºC (Briceni) – +26.7ºC (Dubasari, Comrat).
