Leadership of medicines and medical Devices Agency changed in Moldova

Chisinau, 1 July /MOLDPRES/ - The director general of the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (AMDM), Vladislav Zara, has been dismissed from office. Zinaida Bezverhnii was appointed to this position. The decision were taken at a cabinet meeting on 1 July.

The proposals were announced by Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Ala Nemerenco. The minister said that, by the appointment of a new leadership at AMDM, the ministry was willing to cease the practice when specialists in other fields, but the medical one, were appointed to the office of director of this institution.

Zinaida Bezverhnii is pharmacist by profession and has worked at the World Health Organization.

Also today, the government ruled that Ela Malai exercises the duties of head of National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), who is presently ANSA deputy director, till the appointment of a new director.
