„What we find out in ministries, in agencies, at state enterprises are outrageous things. The state’s institutions have worked not in the interest of the state, but to concoct and implement all kinds of schemes, schemes of illegal enrichment of some personages, most of whom from the entourage of Plahotniuc. Their number is surprising. They are everywhere: in the energy system, in the medicines field, children’s nourishment, in transport, more specifically, in the aviation. Billions of lei were stolen through these schemes. These schemes will be stopped. You have seen that we ceased all privatizations. Those who were involved in the working out of these schemes must be imprisoned and we will do everything what the government must do, so that the law-enforcement bodies start working. Yet, it should be quite clear: not the cabinet is the one to open criminal files and go to court,” Maia Sandu said.
