Over 70 businessmen get priority loans through Youth Crediting Facility in Moldova

Chisinau, 02 July /MOLDPRES/ – A total amount of 76 businessmen have benefited from a total of MDL 45 million (almost €2.25 million) within Programme of Youth Crediting Facility (FCT). The data have been presented by the Ministry of Finance (MF), according to which the number of beneficiaries has been steadily increasing.
The location of funded businesses is throughout 20 districts of Moldova. The most of loans were granted in Gagauzia – 15, in a total amount of MDL 13.1 million. The IInd place in the top is held by Rascani district – 09 loans, totalling MDL 3.8 million. There were awarded 06 loans to young entrepreneurs from Glodeni district and Chisinau municipality.
The programme was launched at the initiative of MF so as to promote young entrepreneurs and create new jobs. Thus, for loans granted under the programme, the interest rate is reduced by at least 02 percentage points on annual benchmark interest rate.
For being eligible under programme, the beneficiaries must be 18 – 35 years of old. The maximum amount of a sub – loan accessed is MDL 1.5 million.
