Six customs checkpoints cease working in north Moldova over bad weather

Chisinau, 2 July /MOLDPRES/ - Six customs checkpoints from northern Moldova ceased working today afternoon. The Customs Service has made statements to this effect.

The concerned checkpoints are: Grimancauti-Vashkivtsy (interstate), Briceni-Rossoshany, Larga-Kelmentsy, Cosauti-Tsekinovka, Ocnita (internal) and Briceni (internal).

According to the Customs Service, the work was stopped because of the bad weather conditions, which triggered the disconnection of the posts from power supply and, respectively, the impossibility to use information systems of the Customs in the customs control process.

In these conditions, the Customs Service recommends that the participants in the traffic avoid crossing the border through the concerned checkpoints and opt for the other ones, placed nearby.
