Over 242 thousand phone numbers ported to Moldova within recent six years

Chisinau, 03 July /MOLDPRES/ – Over 242,000 phone number have been ported to Moldova since July 2013 till present. The data were submitted by the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) on the occasion of marking the six years since the service launch.

According to the cited source, the switching has been most frequently requested by mobile service users. Their number has reached up to 223.8 thousand, which represents about 92.5 per cent of total number of portings. The number of fixed – line users applying this service amounted to 18.9 thousand, or 7.5 per of the total.

Also, in six months of 2019, there were portings of over 24.7 thousand mobile numbers and 687 fixed telephony numbers. According to ANRCETI's data, the monthly average of portings of mobile telephony numbers in Ist half of 2019 constituted 4.1 thousand portings and monthly average number of fixed phone numbers portings in this period – 113 numbers.

According to the regulations issued by ANRCETI, any telephone user can benefit from porting the phone number within a maximum of 05 working days from filing of respective application to selected supplier.
