Regulation on selection of candidates for constitutional court's judge position from government published in Official Journal

Chisinau, 03 July /MOLDPRES/ – The decision of Government to approve the Regulation on organisation and conduct of contest for selection of candidates for position of judge of the Constitutional Court (CC) by the Government has been published on Wednesday, 03 July, in the Official Journal.
The document establishes how to organise it and requirements that the candidate for CC's judge must meet.
According to the regulation's provisions, the candidates must meet the following requirements: hold the citizenship of Moldova, have at least 15 years of experience in legal activity, in higher legal education or scientific activity and have an impeccable reputation. Also, there are eligible candidates which have not reached the age of 70 and have no prohibition on public office or public dignity. The candidates will be evaluated upon submitted files, and take part in the interview then.
The judgment has entered into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal.
Also today, it has been published the notice of Government in the Official Journal on the draft law amending the Law on Prosecution, decision on allocation of some allowances approved by the Law of State Budget (LBS) for 2019 and decision on the new composition of the Commission for the National Prize (CPN).
