Two deputy mayors of Chisinau municipality released from positions

Chisinau, 04 July /MOLDPRES/ – Ruslan Codreanu and Nistor Grozavu have been released from positions of deputy mayors of Chisinau municipality. The decision has been taken on Thursday, 04 July, at the meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), by 36 votes of local elected representatives.
The draft on dismissal of 02 deputy mayors has been included on agenda of today and subsequently put to vote.
The councilors have proposed that temporary duties of acting mayor of Chisinau to be held by acting secretary of CMC, Adrian Talmaci.
The decision was approved after more weeks ago, some municipal councilors signed a declaration which forwarded to Ruslan Codreanu and Nistor Grozavu a mistrust vote and demanded their resignation.
Ruslan Codreanu was appointed as deputy mayor in November 2017. Subsequently, in 2018 he became the Chisinau acting mayor, after ex – acting mayor, Silvia Radu, resigned. Nistor Grozavu has served as deputy mayor since 2007.
