Chisinau, 4 July /MOLDPRES/ - A Fair of Universities from Romania is held in the Stefan cel Mare public garden from Moldova’s capital on 4-5 July. The action is to be organized by the Federation of Young Romanians from Everywhere (FTRP) in several citizens of Moldova, becoming traditional before the starting of the campaign of admission to higher education institutions.
The activities organized in the events of this kind are aimed at presenting the educational offers in the university centres of Romania. The graduates of Moldova’s lyceums willing to continue their studies in Romania can discuss with FTRP members, receive useful information, suggestions and alternatives, in order to be able to benefit from quality education in Romania.
“Young people come with diverse questions and we are ready to answer practically all those dealing with the education process, opportunities, living, accommodation, scholarships, admission exams, if stipulated for certain specialties, optional syllabi, etc. We are not for the first time at such activities and we are always glad when, in the beginning of the school year, we find again among students some young people who have earlier visited the fair,” a representative of the Association of Young Romanians Abroad from Iasi, Alina Frecautan, said.
The participants in the fair can learn how is to be a student in Romania from the first source. Representatives of more university education institutions from Iasi, Alba Iulia, Craiova, Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, Timisoara, Suceava, etc. are at the disposal of graduates.
“We are here to tell about chances, to explain the facilities to be a Bessarabian student in Romania, to provide information about the needed package of documents for admission, etc. At the same time, we cannot provide certainties as to the ensuring of an eventual admission; we can only urge all young people interested to apply and wish them much success, as we are waiting them with heart and soul,” representatives of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi told MOLDPRES.
Evelina Susanu is a graduate from southern Moldova. Susanu said she had always wanted to study at a faculty in Romania. “Although I had some preferences, after I had visited the fair, I slightly changed the plans. A lot of things depend on the volunteers of the present institutions, or most of them are quite receptive and convincing; one can see that some of them are even in love with the cities they are presenting,” Susanu added.
Till 5 July, the Fair of Universities from Romania will be in Chisinau, on 6 July – in Balti, at the headquarters of the Mihai Eminescu theoretical lyceum and on 7 July - at the Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu University from Cahul.
At its 11th issue, the Fair of Universities from Romania is the first stage of the campaign of information and counseling AdmiteRO, held in July-October. Within the campaign, volunteers of the FTRP member organizations provide graduates of the gymnasiums, lyceums or universities of Moldova information on the methodology of admission to the Romanian education institutions. The Federation of Young Romanians from Everywhere is a non-governmental, apolitical and non-profit organization – the most important entity of representing ethnic Romanian students and pupils from outside Romania who study in this country.
