Candidates getting bad marks at school-leaving exams can submit applications to participate in additional session in Moldova

Chisinau, 4 July /MOLDPRES/ - The candidates who have got bad marks at the basic session of the school-leaving examinations of this academic year can submit applications on 4-5 July, in order to take part in the additional session, due on 15-22 July 2019.
The candidates who, for various reasons, were absent from certain exams of the basic session, can participate in the additional session as well. The applications can be submitted to the school-leaving examinations centre, where the candidates took the examinations at the basic session.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of the information service at the Education, Culture and Research Ministry, Angela Mutruc, has said that the number of school-leaving examinations centres for the additional session would be established after the applications are received from candidates.
Data by the aforementioned ministry shows that the exams’ passing rate of the basic 2019 session of school-leaving examinations, after considering the contestations, is 68.77 per cent. There are 11,803 candidates managing to pass the school-leaving exams out of those 17,164 ones who participated in the examinations. This would mean that 5,361 candidates got bad marks in at least one exam.
At the additional session, the school-leaving exams will start at 10:00. The results of the examinations will be posted on 24 July and the candidates discontented with the marks got will have 48 hours at their disposal to submit contestations.
