Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today ruled to dismiss Anatolie Zagorodnii from the office of adviser for the settlement of claims and director general of the National Agency for Settlement of Claims (ANSC).

The draft was put forward by lawmaker Dumitru Alaiba. According to the MP, Anatolie Zagorodnii would not have met the conditions needed when he was appointed to office and would not have the necessary experience.

„According to the conditions, the winner of the contest should have had three-year experience in the public procurement sector. Anatolie Zagorodnii does not have three-year experience in the public procurement field,” Alaiba noted.

Anatolie Zagorodnii was appointed to the position of director general of the National Agency for Settlement of Claims in February 2019 for a seven-year period.

The National Agency for Settlement of Claims is an autonomous public authority, independent from other public authorities, from private persons and legal entities, which considers claims formulated within the public procurement procedures.

The Agency has seven advisers for the settlement of claims, including the director general and deputy director general. The advisers are appointed by the parliament, with the votes of the majority of the lawmakers present at the meeting, at a proposal by the commission for economy, budget and finances.
