Chisinau, 8 July /MOLDPRES/ - The former finance minister from the government led by Pavel Filip was appointed as presidential adviser today. The head of state has made statements to this effect on his official webpage.

The message by President Igor Dodon reads that “many times, I have publicly appreciated the efforts of Ion Chicu, meant to enhance the efficiency of the budgetary and fiscal system, relying including on the cooperation we had in the team of Mrs. Grecianii on the period 2005-2009.”

“The experience got on that period, as well as Chicu’s work at the World Bank during more years were the reasons for which I unequivocally accepted his appointment to the office of minister in December 2018.
