Moldovan deputy premier for reintegration meets ambassador of Austria

Chisinau, 9 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Vasilii Sova today had a meeting with Ambassador of Austria to Moldova Christine Freilinger, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.   

The two officials exchanged opinions on ways of enforcing policies in the reintegration sector, promoting confidence-building measures, as well as on the carrying out of social projects for the benefit of the residents from both banks of Dniester.  

In particular, the sides highlighted the opportunity to back projects of regional tourist development, attractive ones and with positive impact regionally, nationally and locally.  

At the meeting, Vasilii Sova and Christine Freilinger reconfirmed the common will to cooperate, in order to maintain and facilitate the substantiated consensus between Moldova’s foreign partners in supporting and advancement of the Moldovan cabinet’s efforts to strengthen the rule of law state and promote the national interests.

Ambassador Christine Freilinger reiterated full openness in the perpetuation of a balanced policy and boosting the dialogue in the 5+2 format and stressed the need to avoid the policy of confrontation.

Deputy Prime Minister Vasilii Sova thanked the Austrian government for the support provided and the efforts made to consolidate the dialogue within the negotiation process for the Transnistrian settlement during the exercising of the Austrian OSCE chairmanship in 2017. He expressed firm confidence and goodwill in the continuous development of the friendly relations between the two states, including through the carrying out sustainable social projects.
