Delegation of German Bundestag to visit Moldova

Chisinau, 09 July /MOLDPRES/ – There have been discussed bilateral relations and dialogue on interparliamentary dimension with Germany at the meeting on Tuesday, 09 July, of the Speaker of Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii, and the German Ambassador to Chisinau, Angela Ganninger, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The speaker thanked the German authorities for consistent promotion and continued support of Moldova, including for support of new parliamentary majority, political support in the process of settling the Transnistrian issue, cooperation in various sectoral areas, etc.

Also, Zinaida Greceanii has announced that recent week, the legislature adopted the new membership of the Friendship Group with Germany, consisting of 32 MPs from all parliamentary factions, and head of PAS faction, ACUM block, Igor Grosu.

In context, Angela Ganninger has announced that this autumn, it is expected the visit of Friendship Group with Moldova in the German Bundestag in Chisinau. The diplomat also congratulated the head of Parliament on appointing in his new office and on good management of political crisis. Also, he was interested in the work of MPs, parliamentary committees, and parliamentary majority's objectives.

The meeting was attended by general secretary of Parliament, Adrian Albu.
