Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament’s commission for culture, education, research, youth, sport and mass media today organized hearings, during which the leadership of the Teleradio-Moldova Company (TRM), the one of the company’s board of observers and the management of the public TV station were invited. At the end of the meeting, the commission members ruled that they would suggest that the parliament considers a draft decision on the dismissal of Olga Bordeianu, Ecaterina Stratan and Nicolae Spataru from the positions of heads of the Company, TV station and board of observers, respectively.

The commission’s meeting lasted for more than an hour. At the event, more MPs accused the company’s management of having turned the institution into a party one, of having inefficiently and incorrectly managed the money provided from the state budget and of employing people by infringing the law.

„You have laundered money together; we will prove this you and we will demand an audit,” a lawmaker of the ACUM bloc, Maria Ciobanu, said.

Also at the meeting, the commission members expressed discontent with the way TRM had covered the meetings for the setting up of the parliamentary majority and the cabinet’s swearing in office. Also today, the head of the aforementioned company’s board of observers, Nicolae Spataru, was accused of failing to react to the infringements of the company’s leadership.

The chiefs from Teleradio-Moldova turned down the charges.
