Holders of Order of the Republic from Moldova to receive state allocations worth 500 lei

Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s citizens beneficiaries of merit allocations, who were awarded the Order of the Republic and receive pensions provided by other states, will receive a nominal state allocation worth 500 lei monthly. The cabinet approved a decision to this effect at a meeting today.

Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Ala Nemerenco presented a draft to this end. According to Nemerenco, about 110,000 lei annually will be necessary to provide the collocations.

„It is about Moldova’s citizens who live in our country, who have merits, but get their pensions on the territory of other states. We deem it necessary for fairness to be in relation to other citizens, who have exactly the same merits and have the pension in Moldova,” Nemerenco said.

Presently, 22 persons out of those 200 beneficiaries of the merit allowance are awarded the Order of the Republic.
