Electricity supply companies request tariff adjustment in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/ – The companies of Gas Natural Fenosa Energy Supply (GNFFE) and Supply of Electricity Nord (FEE Nord) have submitted requests for tariff adjustments to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) commencing 01 August 2019.
Thus, GNFFE has requested a 8.6 per cent increase in the tariff paid by household consumers. Also, the FEE Nord has requested an increase of 22.4 per cent.
Interviewed by agency, head of the ANRE Communication Service, Galina Sanduta, has said that ANRE will shortly publish a draft decision with display of a real tariff that the institution will find it right to apply. "When we publish these projects, the consumers and other stakeholders will have 15 working days to come up with proposals. Subsequently, in public session, the Board of Directors of ANRE will decide the final price," specified Sanduta.
The electricity distribution and supply companies also requested tariff adjustment in March 2019.
The recent adjustment of electricity tariffs was made on 15 June 2018, when they decreased by an average of 10 per cent.
