Moldovan SP discusses with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for European Affairs and Eurasia

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/ – Speaker of Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii, has met with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs and Eurasia of U.S. Secretary of State, George Kent, paying a visit to Chisinau on Thursday, 11 July, the government's communications and public relations department has reported.

The meeting was also attended by deputy heads of Parliament, Ion Ceban and Mihail Popsoi, as well as the general secretary of institution, Adrian Albu.

Zinaida Greceanii made a retrospective of recent social – political issues and referred to priorities of parliamentary agenda until the end of current summer session. Also, SP mentioned the actions started for the selection of judges at the Constitutional Court (CC), members of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) and director of the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA).

Other topics discussed included the Transnistrian issue, local elections in autumn, tax decentralisation and economic stability issues.

The U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for European Affairs and Eurasia of the U.S. Secretary of State expressed himself pleased with developments in aftermath of political crisis.
