Court of accounts' activity report for 2018 published in Official Journal

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Activity Report of the Court of Accounts (CA) for 2018 has been published on Friday, 12 July, in the Official Journal.
According to document, in 2018, the CA carried out a total of 65 audit missions to 619 entities, with audits of public institutions and local authorities being a priority. As a result, there were submitted 1,681 auditing requirements and recommendations in 2018, which by the end of March 2019, there were implemented in proportion of 32 per cent.
According to the law of State Budget (BS) for 2018, it was allocated an amount of around MDL 50.2 million to finance CA, with MDL 49.7 million executed, or 99.05 per cent. In the total expenditures, the most significant were the personnel expenses – about 74.52 per cent, given that the staff represents the most important resource of institution.
According to law, the CA presents yearly to Parliament, by 15 September, a report on administration and use of public financial resources and public patrimony, including depicted irregularities.
