Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ – The First Home programme will continue as long as it is for the benefit of citizens, being carried out in a framework of fiscal prudence. The declaration has been made on Friday, 12 July, by Minister of Finance (MF), Natalia Gavrilita.

The MF has said at a news conference that the state continues to honour its programme commitments and that she would like to have a meeting with its beneficiaries to determine the actions to be taken in the future. "All projects, to be implemented, will be analised in terms of two principles: whether it is in favour of citizen and if it is effective in terms of spending public money," said Gavrilita.

The MF also presented the priorities of her institution for upcoming period. According to source, it is vital for the Ministry of Finance to finalise the budget rectification and to adopt all commitments assumed in the relationship with the IMF.

"All authorities will work to meet the commitments that depend on disbursement of resources from foreign partners. A priority is to increase the absorption capacity of capital investment projects. We have a lot of loans and grants from external partners that we unfortunately do not execute," said Gavrilita.

Also, the MF will strive to create a predictable business environment for citizens and entrepreneurs which "must understand that taxes must be paid," said MF.
