Head of Moldova's National Patrol Inspectorate resigns from office

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ - The head of the National Patrol Inspectorate (INP), Marin Maxian, has resigned from office. Maxian made statements to this effect at a meeting on unveiling of the results of INP’s work for the last six months.   

The press officer of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Mariana Betivu, confirmed the information for MOLDPRES.  

Marin Maxian did not specify the reasons which had prompted him to resign.  

Maxian has held the position of INP head since last February. Earlier, he acted as chief of IGP’s public security general department.
