Moldovan PM has meeting with U.S. Under Secretary of State

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Maia Sandu, and U.S. Under Secretary of State, David Hale, have discussed in Chisinau municipality on Saturday, 13 July, the prospects of Moldovan – American strategic dialogue and developments in cooperation of two states, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The officials have expressed their confidence that maintenance of permanent communication and continued transfer of best democratic practices by the United States of America to Moldova implies an upward dynamic in Moldovan – American relations.

The head of Executive has expressed gratitude to the United States of America for the constant support given to Moldova and hope that the USA will continue to be with Moldova. "Today, more than ever, we need the support of the USA in the fight against corruption, money laundering, regional smuggling and monopolies. The existing Government, unlike ex – Government, has the political will to stop all these wrong deeds and illegal schemes. On it, we greatly rely on cooperation with the U.S. Government in law enforcement, fight against corruption and justice sector," said PM.

At his turn, U.S. Under Secretary of State, David Hale, has appreciated the the efforts of Government in implementing reforms, benefits of which will be felt directly by citizens. David Hale has reconfirmed the U.S. support for modernisation programmes of Moldova.
