Moldovan parliament appoints three new members of Central Electoral Commission

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament appointed three new members of the Central Electoral Commission today. Fifty four MPs voted for the new candidates, who took the oath.
Thus, the offices which have remained vacant at CEC after the resignation of Alina Russu, Rodica Ciubotaru and Iurie Ciocan will be held by a lawyer put forward by the Dignity and Truth Platform, Pavel Dumitru, a university lecturer, PhD in law Dorin Cimil, put up by the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) and the adviser to President of Moldova Igor Dodon in the legal sector, Maxim Lebedinschi, put forward on behalf of the Party of Socialists (PSRM).
Pavel Dumitru is lawyer and chief of the Pavel Dumitru Bureau of Lawyers. He has earlier held the position of judge at the Supreme Court of Justice. Dorin Cimil is university lecturer at the Moldovan State University. Maxim Lebedinschi is bachelor of laws. He acted as adviser of the PSRM parliamentary faction. Lebedinschi also leads the Associate Bureau of Lawyers, Lebedinsky & Partners.
