Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ – The exporters of goods can use the simplified procedure for documenting the preferential origin of goods exported to the Member States of EU, CEFTA countries and Turkey by obtaining the approved exporter certificate. It is issued free of charge by the Customs Service (SV) and it is valid indefinitely.
The facilitation allows exporting economic operators to declare their preferential origin on their own responsibility, regardless of value of goods, by completing a declaration of origin on the invoice or other commercial document. The goods accompanied by an invoice declaration benefit from exemption from customs duties on imports into EU, CEFTA and Turkey.
According to the Customs Service's (SV) information and media communication service, the approved exporter is under no obligation to obtain a paper EUR.1 certificate of origin, which gives it a number of advantages and benefits, such as reduction of time and expense of preferential origin of exported goods, but also limitation of direct contact with customs authority.
Also, the economic operator is no longer obliged to appear personally at the counter of customs body, and the deadline of up to three days set for the authentication and it is deleted issuance of origin certificates. Thus, through this facilitation instrument, the exporter is less subject to risk of exceeding the delivery times of goods.
