Over 2,700 persons purchase dwellings throughout First home programme in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 July /MOLDPRES/ – A total number of 2,757 persons have purchased dwellings throughout the Government programme: First home, up till present.

According to the Ministry of Finance's (MF) information and media communication service, the total amount of loans granted by banks is MDL 1.37 bln and amount of active guarantees is MDL 688 mln.

Aut of 2,757 beneficiaries of programme, 1,958 are young families, and remaining 799 are single young persons. The average age of applicants is 31 years. Also, the average area of the dwellings purchased throughout the programme is 63.5 m2 and their average value is MDL 604,000.

Up to now, there have been purchased 2,580 dwellings in urban areas and 179 in rural areas.

The Government programme: First home was launched in March 2018. Recently, Minister of Finance, Natalia Gavrilita, has announced that the programme will continue as long as it is for the benefit of citizens and it is carried out in a framework of fiscal prudence.
