Central electoral commission's decision on state budget subsidies for political parties to be published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, 18 July /MOLDPRES/ – The decision of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) to determine the monthly amount of subsidies of state budget (BS) 2019 for political parties according to performance of the parliamentary elections (AP) of 24 February 2019 and general local elections (ALG) of 14 June 2015 will be published on Friday, 19 July, in the Official Journal (MO).
According to document, the monthly subsidy amount for each valid vote given to political parties and electoral block during AP of 24 February 2019 is almost MDL 0.49.
Also, the amount of monthly subsidy for each woman elected actually to position of MP on uninominal constituencies is MDL 15,151, and the amount of monthly subsidy for each young person elected in Parliament is MDL 6,410. Following AP of February 24, 13 of elected MPs are young persons, and 11 MPs were elected in uninominal constituencies.
The subsidies from BS will be transferred to political parties monthly.
According to legislation, the amount of subsidies is distributed as follows: 40 per cent – in proportion to obtained results in AP; 40 per cent – in proportion to obtained results in ALG; 10 per cent – to political parties respecting the share of at least 40 per cent of submitted total number of candidates, 05 per cent – in proportion to number of women elected actually as MP to uninominal constituencies and 05 per cent – in proportion to number of young persons elected actually in AP and ALG.
