Chisinau, 18 July /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today appointed Andrei Spanu as secretary general of the government, after Lilia Palii had earlier resigned from this office.
„Spanu has working experience both in the public sector and in the private one, where he has made progress,” Prime Minister Maia Sandu said, while introducing Spanu’s candidacy. The PM asked the new government’s secretary general, in his capacity of head of the Social Investments Fund, to urgently summon a meeting of the council and undertake needed measures, in order to “stop the acts of abuse and corruption committed by the acting director, Iurie Chiorescu, especially in the project of kindergartens.”
Also, the cabinet appointed Rosian Vasiloi as head of the General Inspectorate of the Border Police.
