Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Decree of the President on the release of Eduard Harunjen from the position of Prosecutor General has been published in the Official Journal, on Friday, 19 July.
The decree states that Eduard Harunjen was dismissed on the basis of his resignation request.
The Decree entered into force on the date of signature.
Eduard Harunjen was appointed as Prosecutor General in December 2016. He is 47 years old and since 1994 has worked in the Prosecutor's Office of Chisinau. From 1996 – 2005, he served as deputy Chief of several departments within the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI). In 2011 – 2013 he was a prosecutor for special missions in the General Prosecutor's Office (PG), later he held the position of anticorruption prosecutor and first deputy general prosecutor.
