Court of accounts to audit more privatisation contracts for public property of Moldova

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ – Parliament called on the Court of Auditors (CC) to audit more privatization contracts for state – owned enterprises. The decision has been taken on Friday, 19 July, at the meeting of Legislature, with majority vote of MPs.

The audit will cover 04 contracts, namely: Contract public – private partnership for concession of IS Aeroportul International Chisinau; Privatisation Agreement of IS Compania Aeriana Air Moldova; Contract of public – private partnership on modernising and streamlining the activities of IS Garile si Statiile Auto and Agreement purchase – sale of state – owned shares in SA Tutun – CTC.

The audit is to be carried out by 31 December 2019.

The four contracts were selected by Investigation Commission (CI) to analise how to organise and conduct privatisation and concession of public property (2013 – 2019). The draft was presented at the Parliament meeting by the head of the Commission of economy, budget and finance (CEBF), Igor Munteanu.

The Legislature also called for inclusion in Annual Audit Programme of CC for 2020 of a compliance audit on privatisation of public property and privatisation for 2013 – 2019.
