Moldovan deputy premier meets ambassador of United Kingdom

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Vasilii Sova today had a meeting with Ambassador of the United Kingdom Lucy Joyce, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
At the meeting, the deputy prime minister expressed high appreciation for the efforts and support provided by the British government to Moldova, including in the Transnistrian region, during time, through the carrying out of sustainable projects for the benefit of the residents from both banks of Dniester.
The officials discussed the results of a recent meeting with the representatives of the mediators and observers (the so-called 3+2 format) of the Permanent Conference on Political Issues in the Transnistrian Settlement Process (the 5+2 negotiation format). Sova reconfirmed Chisinau’s openness for the fulfillment of the commitments contained in the Berlin plus package and maintenance of a constructive dialogue for creating premises to hold a new official meeting of the 5+2 format of talks.
The sides noted that, in 2020, special attention would be focused on the carrying out of a string of activities able to advance the final settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.
The deputy prime minister thanked the British ambassador for her valuable contribution to the development of the Moldova-UK relations, especially in the promotion of the confidence building measures and implementation of social and humanitarian projects. Vasilii Sova wished the diplomat remarkable success in her future professional career.
