Over 6,000 rental contracts registered at fiscal centre in first half of 2019 in Moldova

Chisinau, 22 July /MOLDPRES/ – About six thousand rental contracts were registered with the State Tax Service (SFS) in the first half of 2019.

As a result, the revenues totaled MDL 10.6 mln, MDL 2.9 mln more than in similar period of 2018.

Also, in January – June of 2019, there were identified 2,806 individuals which rent/lease real estate without registering contracts according to legislation.

The tax inspectors carried out checks on 323 physical persons which rent real estate, adding to the budget basic payments – MDL 417.4 thousand, penalties – MDL 20.2 thousand and fines – MDL 59.4 thousand.

According to legislation, persons who rent real estate are obliged to pay a tax of 07 per cent on their earnings. The ones which do not comply, risk fines and sanctions.
