Moldovan pupils win medals at international maths olympiad

Chisinau, 23 July /MOLDPRES/ – The pupils from Moldova have received a silver medal, a bronze medal and three honourable mentions at the International Mathematics Olympiad. The contest took place in Bath city, United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland on 11 – 22 July 2019.
The silver medal was awarded to pupil Alexandru Lopotenco, Alexandru Rudi won the bronze medal, and Alic Ciumeico, Gabriel Cojocaru and Dumitru Josu were awarded with honourable mentions. The prize – winners are pupils of the Theoretical High School Orizont in Chisinau municipality.
According to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research's (MECC) information and media communication service, Moldova has been represented by 06 pupils and 02 teachers at the contest.
There have participated 621 contestants from 112 countries at the issue of International Mathematics Olympiad of 2019.
