Chisinau, 23 July /MOLDPRES/ - Moldovan drivers will be able to be on the territory of Ukraine during 180 days during each half a year. The new rule is enforced starting from today, with the entrance into force of the protocol between the Moldovan and Ukrainian governments on the international motor communication.
Under the document signed in October 2018, citizens of Moldova and Ukraine – members of the crews of buses carrying out regular transport of passengers, as well as the drivers of transport means carrying out international transport of goods – will be able to stay on the territory of the contracting sides during 180 days during each half a year, based on confirmatory documents.
So far, drivers of Moldova, who provide international transport services, have not been able to be in Ukraine during more than 90 days cumulatively on a period of 180 days.
After a recent visit to Kiev, Prime Minister Maia Sandu informed that Ukraine had removed the restriction of 90 days of stay on the territory of Ukraine, imposed to the Moldovan carriers of passengers and goods.
