Draft on Moldovan state budget's rectification to be submitted to parliament till late July

Chisinau, 23 July /MOLDPRES/ – There will be submitted to Government the project of state budget (BS) rectification for 2019 during this week and to Parliament early upcoming week. The document stipulates that the revenues of the national public budget (BPN) will be worth the amount of up to MDL 63 billion 538 million, while the expenses will constitute the amount up to MDL 69 billion 458 million. The figures have been presented by Minister of Finance, Natalia Gavrilita, on Tuesday, 23 July.

Thus, after rectification of BS, the revenues of BPN will increase by MDL 105 mln, and the expenses will be higher by MDL 287 mln. Under these terms, the budget deficit will amount up to MDL 05 bln 920 mln.

The Minister of Finance has stated that the largest part of revenues of BPN is the taxes and fees, of which it will be accumulated the amount of MDL 40 bln 611 mln, with a reduction of MDL 66 million compared to initially estimated one.

"The BS will consist MDL 40 bln 633 mln, with a decrease of MDL 01 bln 492 mln or 3.6 per cent. The social security budget (BAS) will be MDL 21 bln 869 mln, or MDL 137 mln more than the approved one. The funds of mandatory healthcare insurance (AOAM) will amount up to MDL 07 bln 709 mln, by MDL 383 mln more than the planned amount," said Gavrilita.

According to minister, the Act of paying in public sector was adopted at the end of 2018 in a hurry without any precise data on the number of employees in the budgetary sector and after the local authorities adopted their budgets. Under these circumstances, based on the calculations for Ist half of 2019, the managers have estimated that the implementation of the wage law will cost by over MDL 01 bln more than planned.

The Minister of Finance has assured that the salaries and pensions will be paid on time and in full.
