Moldovan SP meets representatives of U.S. Embassy, USAID

Chisinau, 24 July /MOLDPRES/ – Speaker of Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii, has had a meeting with representatives of the U.S. Embassy and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), on Tuesday, 23 July, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The SP thanked USAID and U.S. partners for support and reiterated the need to support projects that bring sustainable development to Moldova. Zinaida Greceanii also proposed to consider the opportunity of setting up a donor council to avoid overlapping support from donors.

The meeting was attended by U.S. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador, Dereck J. Hogan, deputy SP, Ion Ceban, and some MPs. The parties discussed the projects implemented by USAID in Moldova, technical and financial assistance opportunities and perspective cooperation priorities, including consolidation of democratic governance of Parliament.
