Five persons take oath in Chisinau to acquire citizenship of Moldova

Chisinau, 24 July /MOLDPRES/ – On Wednesday, 24 July, a group of 05 persons in Chisinau municipality have taken the oath for granting or regaining citizenship of Moldova.
According to the Chisinau city hall’s information and media communication service, those 05 persons are from Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus and Lebanon. Aut of these ones, 04 persons have obtained the citizenship of Moldova, and 01 person has regained it.
The beneficiaries have taken the oath in presence of acting general Mayor of Chisinau, Adrian Talmaci.
Since 2003, there have been granted citizenship of Moldova a number of 684 people living in Chisinau, including 42 ones in 2019.
According to legislation, in order to obtain or regain the citizenship of Moldova, the applicants must take an exam of knowledge of the state language, history of Moldova and national legislation. The file submitted is examined by a special commission, after which a presidential decree is issued on it. Subsequently, the applicants take the oath.
