Moldovan citizens from abroad, left bank of Dniester can register in advance for new parliamentary elections

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ – The citizens with voting rights, which are abroad or resident on the left bank of the Dniester, can register in advance to participate in the new Parliamentary elections, which will be held on 20 October 2009 in the uninominal district №48, cities Slobozia, Tiraspol and Bender, and №50, to the west of Moldova.
According to the Central Electoral Commission's (CEC) information and media communication service, the voters can register beforehand throughout the year, except for 45 days before the date of elections. Thus, 04 September 2019 is the last day of prior registration for the new Parliamentary elections of 20 October 2019. Also, at least 25 days prior the election day, the voter may cancel the previous record.
So as to register, voters must complete an online form at section Pre – register at www.alegator.md.
The registration may also be made in written form, by submitting an application signed individually or collectively to CEC and/or to the diplomatic missions, consular offices of Moldova.
The CEC has stated that the preliminary registration will help to determine the estimated number of voters which will vote outside Moldova and voters from the localities on the left bank of the Dniester, which will vote at the polling stations opened on the territory of Moldova, in order to determine the number of necessary polling stations, as well as determine the estimated number of ballots to be distributed to the polling stations in charge.
