Moldovan parliament to have two new MPs

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Central Election Commission (CEC) has taken note, on Tuesday, 30 July, of the vacancies of 02 positions of MP in the Parliament of Moldova and it has initiated the procedure for validating the mandates of alternate candidates.
According to the CEC's information and media communication service, the MP mandates are for the alternate candidates – from the list of Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), Ruxanda Glavan, and from the list of electoral block ACUM Platform DA and PAS, Serghei Cataranciuc.
The decision of commission will be transmitted to Constitutional Court (CC) for validation of the mandates of MPs.
A mandate of MP from the Electoral Block ACUM Platform DA and PAS has remained vacant after Liliana Nicolaescu – Onofrei had resigned as MP due to incompatibility of functions. Also, another parliamentary term belonging to the PDM has remained vacant following resignation of Otilia Dragutanu.
