Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ - Ruslan Flocea has been appointed director of the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA). The parliament adopted a decision to this effect with the votes of 72 MPs today.
The candidacy of Ruslan Flocea was selected following a contest organized by the parliament’s juridical commission for rules and immunities, to which nine persons submitted their files.
Ruslan Flocea is 41 years old. Starting from 2016 so far, he has acted as secretary general at the Moldovan President’s Apparatus. Flocea has earlier worked at CNA.
Ruslan Flocea answered lawmakers’ questions and gave assurances that he would take efforts to fight the corruption phenomenon. After the voting procedure, Ruslan Flocea took the oath before the MPs.
The CNA director is appointed to office for a five-year mandate.
The office of CNA director remained vacant in last June, after Bogdan Zumbreanu had been dismissed by parliament.
